Allora End of Dinner2 April2025

Allora

Allora is a coastal Italian restaurant located at 201 Monroe Avenue NW in downtown Grand Rapids, near Lyon Square and DeVos Place. It opened in 2025 in the space formerly occupied by Reserve, with an entirely new concept and design.

Classico & Esperienza

The kitchen is seafood-forward and pasta-driven, built around coastal Italian technique applied to Michigan ingredients — heritage chicken, handmade pastas, a grilled grass-fed filet that's become one of the menu's signature orders. The beverage program follows a two-track structure of its own naming: Classico, familiar cocktails reworked with Italian influence, and Esperienza, a more exploratory list built around unexpected combinations. Aperitivo hour runs Tuesday through Thursday, pairing $10 featured wine with small bites.

Every Bite A Story

AC Lounge follows the AC Hotels design language: clean lines, a restrained material palette, and a deliberately uncluttered room rather The name comes from an Italian connector word — roughly "so," "well," or "and then" — chosen because it's meant to be symbolic of the connections and stories guests share over a meal. That idea carries through the whole concept: the menu is framed less as a list of dishes and more as a sequence of chapters, each one meant to lead into conversation rather than just the next course.

"...where the line between fine dining and relaxed conversation dissolves."
